Fleet and municipal vehicle repair

Work trucks, heavy duty and apparatus in the White Mountains. You get a real turnaround date when we quote it, and a call from us the day that date moves. Not a call from you asking where your truck is.

The job we get judged on

A fire engine, a blown turbo, and a dealership quoting ten days to look at it

The crew was working out of area and a long way from their own shop. An engine out of service is not an inconvenience, it is a hole in somebody's cover. We had it apart, repaired and back in service in under three days.

“We were in AZ/NM for work and we blew a turbo. They understood our need to get our fire engine back up and running and exceeded our expectations. They got us fixed up and back on the road without issues in less than 3 days when the local dealership said they wouldn't even look at it for another 10 days. Thank you for standing by your word, your hard work, professionalism, and fair pricing.”

What we cover

Work trucks, municipal vehicles and the equipment around them

Work trucksDiesel pickups and mediums that have to earn tomorrow morning. Engine, transmission, emissions and the running gear.
Heavy and Class 8Tractors and the equipment that goes with them. Beds, booms and the vehicles a business cannot run without.
Fire and municipalApparatus and service vehicles, treated with the urgency of a vehicle that is out of service rather than off the road.
Scheduled serviceThe work that stops the breakdown. Cheaper every time than the call from the roadside.

Why shops lose fleet work

Why fleets leave a shop

Fleet managers do not leave a shop because a job took two days longer. They leave because nobody rang to say so. The truck goes quiet, the date passes, and the next call comes from the manager rather than the shop.

What we do instead

  • You get a real date at the point of quoting, not a hopeful one.
  • If parts or the job move that date, you hear it from us the day it moves.
  • Nothing gets ordered or started without your yes on the number.
  • If we can see something else about to fail while it is on the lift, you are told then rather than on the shoulder later.

One shop, one history

The value of running your vehicles through one place is that somebody remembers the last three things that went wrong with truck four. That is worth more over a year than shopping every job to whoever is cheapest that week.

Fleet enquiry

Tell us what you run and we will come back to you with what we can take on and when.

If a vehicle is down right now, call instead. The form is for accounts and scheduling.

Before you hand over the keys

Four things we commit to in writing

No work without a yes

You get the number before anything is ordered or started. If we open it up and find more, you hear about it before we touch it.

Diagnosis, not guesswork

We find the actual fault before anyone talks about parts. Replacing parts until it stops is how a bill triples.

An honest timeframe

A real answer, not an optimistic one. If parts or the job move the date, you hear it from us, not at pickup.

We say when to walk away

If a repair is not worth what the vehicle is worth, we will tell you that instead of taking the money.

Questions

What fleet managers ask

If a vehicle is down right now, call. The form is for setting up an account.

(928) 537-3207
Do you take on fleet accounts?

Yes. Tell us how many vehicles you run and what they are, and we will tell you honestly what we can absorb and when. A shop that says yes to everything is a shop that keeps your truck for three weeks.

How quickly can you turn a vehicle round?

It depends on the fault and on parts. What we will do is give you a real date and call you if it moves. A fire crew came through with a blown turbo and we had it back in service in under three days when the dealership had quoted ten days just to look at it.

Do you work on municipal and emergency vehicles?

We have. Fire apparatus and service vehicles come through here, and we treat a vehicle that is out of service as more urgent than one that is inconvenient.

Can we send our own parts?

Yes. We have fitted customer supplied parts and told the owner exactly what was done. Call and tell us what you are sending.

Will you tell us if something else is failing?

That is the point of using one shop. If a truck is in for one job and we can see something else on its way out, you get told while it is on the lift, not two months later on the roadside.

Do you do scheduled maintenance rather than just breakdowns?

Yes, and it is cheaper than the breakdown. Regular service on diesel and gas, on the vehicles you decide are worth keeping ahead of.

Tell us what it is doing

Call during opening hours, or send the form and we will call you back. Monday to Thursday 8 to 5, Friday 8 to 4.
