Oil coolers
A known failure on coach diesels and the reason for a lot of last minute calls here. We have turned one round on short notice so the owner kept the dates he had booked.

Diesel pushers and motor coaches: oil coolers, DPF and exhaust, emissions faults and the codes behind a dash warning. If you are mid trip with dates you cannot move, say so when you call. It changes where you sit in the queue.

Call (928) 537-3207What we do on coaches
Show Low sits where the highways cross the White Mountains, so a good share of what comes through the door is somebody's holiday with a warning light on the dash.
If a job belongs with an RV specialist rather than a diesel shop, we will tell you.
A known failure on coach diesels and the reason for a lot of last minute calls here. We have turned one round on short notice so the owner kept the dates he had booked.
Clamps, sensors, regen problems and the emissions faults that drop a coach into limp mode halfway up a grade. We have supplied DPF clamps and cleared codes on a Cummins coach.
Diagnosis before parts. A generic code on a coach is the same trap as a generic code on a truck, and guessing at it on holiday is expensive.
Long climbs at altitude find every weak point in a cooling system. If it is running hot on the grades, get it looked at before it costs you an engine.
Brakes, leaks, charging and the mechanical side of the coach underneath the living space.
Describe what it is doing before you move it. Some faults are fine to drive a few miles on and some are not, and we would rather tell you than have you find out.
(928) 537-3207If you are travelling
Tell us the coach, the engine and exactly what it is doing. If it is losing power, running hot or throwing a warning, that matters more than the model. Some of it is fine to drive a short distance on. Some of it will turn a repair into a replacement.
Dates change what we do first. If you have a site booked two states away on Friday, we would rather know that on the first call than find out on the third.
Call ahead so we can tell you where to bring a coach and where to leave it. It saves you turning forty feet around in the wrong place.
Sometimes the answer is that we cannot get the part in time and you are better served somewhere else. You will get that on the phone, not after your coach has sat here for three days.
“Scott took my diesel pusher motorhome in for a last minute repair, to change the oil cooler. Scott was super helpful and great customer service. The team working on the coach was super nice and did a great job. Thanks for fitting me in on short notice, allowing me to keep my travel plans.”
“If you want honest work this is the place to go. He saved my family of nine. We came from out of state, truck went down and a dealership was wanting thousands for unnecessary parts... Now it took only a few and he got our truck going again. The day we brought it in!”
Before you hand over the keys
You get the number before anything is ordered or started. If we open it up and find more, you hear about it before we touch it.
We find the actual fault before anyone talks about parts. Replacing parts until it stops is how a bill triples.
A real answer, not an optimistic one. If parts or the job move the date, you hear it from us, not at pickup.
If a repair is not worth what the vehicle is worth, we will tell you that instead of taking the money.
Questions
If you are on the road and not sure what to do next, the phone is faster than the form.
(928) 537-3207Call and say you are travelling. It changes where you sit in the queue. We cannot promise a slot before we know what is wrong and what else is in the shop, but you will get a straight answer on the phone rather than being told to leave it and wait.
Yes. Coaches and diesel pushers are regular work here. We have changed an oil cooler on a diesel pusher at short notice so the owner could keep his travel plans, and we handle DPF work and code clearing on Cummins coaches.
Often yes. Call the office with the engine and the code and we will tell you whether it is something we can clear, something that needs a repair first, or something you should not drive on.
Call before you set off so we can tell you where to bring it and where to put it when you arrive. Turning a coach around in the wrong yard wastes an hour nobody has.
It depends entirely on the fault. You get the number before anything is ordered. We would rather quote you honestly and lose the job than surprise you at pickup.
We are a diesel and mechanical shop. The chassis, the engine, the emissions system and the running gear are ours. For the living side of a coach you want an RV specialist, and we will say so rather than take the work.
Call during opening hours, or send the form and we will call you back. Monday to Thursday 8 to 5, Friday 8 to 4.
